Collision Avoidance Where AI Meets Safety

Forklift operators have to keep track of a lot of things while they’re working, and Q-VisionAI™ gives them an extra set of eyes. Q-VisionAI™ is a blindspot eliminator with up to four cameras per forklift facing both forward and back.

Local AI processing allows Q-VisionAI ™to quickly identify when someone is in the path of travel to slow or stop a forklift. Q-VisionAI™ uses throttle control to slow the forklift to a stop until the path is clear.

Cameras are mounted on the left and right sides of the forklift, so even with a load, they have a clear view in front of and behind the vehicle.

How Q-VisionAI™ works

Q-VisionAI™ starts with the depth cameras mounted on the front and back of the forklift. These stereoscopic cameras will detect traffic in the travel path of the forklift and will send a stop or slow signal to the Forklift Module depending on the distance to the obstacle. These stereoscopic AI cameras have a wide field of view and are mounted on both the front and back of the forklift so they can see all around the forklift, even with a load.

Once an obstacle, such as a person, is spotted, the signal from the throttle pedal is reduced to slow or stop the forklift until the path is clear. With onboard memory, the AI cameras can even save photos of near missed and incidents.

Q-VisionAI™ can be set up with just a single camera per direction or two for a wider field of view. While Q-VisionAI™ focuses on collision avoidance, the system can be upgraded with more features with QUWB-GPS™ for speed control, zone control, and loading dock safety.

Q-VisionAI™ works with QUWB-GPS™

While Q-VisionAI™ is a fully-featured solution for collision avoidance, Quarion systems can offer greater control with the QUWB-GPS™ system. This system uses ultra wideband wireless signals to track the location of equipped vehicles to within just a few inches. This allows for speed control with Q-WAVE™, dock safety with DockSAFE™, and analytics with Q-Lytix™.

Q-Lytix™ is powered by data collected in your warehouse, so solutions are specific to your needs. Monthly reports can help managers see where incidents are most common, and heat maps can show where traffic is the most congested. This data can be used to create more efficient routing that can also improve productivity.
