Stop overhead mast collisions
With ForkSENSE™ technology, fleet owners and operators can be assured that their electric forklift fleet will be protected from unintentional collisions and turnovers resulting from extended mast collisions.
The ForkSENSE™ functions in conjunction with the QUWB-GPS™ Real-Time Location System and SpeedNFORCE™ technologies to provide an interface to the forklift (vehicle) throttle and ECU (engine control unit) – enabling configurable, speed limiting of forklifts, based on customizable ‘geo-fences’ or ‘zone’ – automatically slowing or stopping of forklifts prior to them entering areas that are unsafe for the operators, unsafe for nearby workers, or where potential equipment damage may occur.

ForkSENSE™ works with QUWB-GPS™
ForkSENSE™ is a powerful application on the QUWB-GPS™ Platform that uses the system’s real-time location data and Zone Monitor to define where low overhead obstacles may be in the way of a tall load. QUWB-GPS™ and the SpeedNFORCE™ module can then be used to stop a forklift before it comes into contact with the obstacle.
The QUWB-GPS™ system combines DockSAFE™, SpeedNFORCE™, ForkSENSE™, Q-TAG, and Q-SKU applications to be the most powerful Quarion platform. Working together, QUWB-GPS™ applications are designed to keep your operators and equipment out of harm’s way. With data powered by Q-Lytix™, Quarion’s analytics application, managers can optimize routes, identify problem areas, and update zones as needed.
The geo-fencing feature is part of the foundation of our ForkSENSE™ Fork Height and Speed Governing System technology.
The Solution:
Use Quarion Technology’s ForkSENSE™ to create zones that automatically slow or stop your vehicles/ forklifts before damage occurs.
ForkSENSE™ from Quarion Technology Inc™ is designed to not only improve the safety of operators, but to prevent loss from damaged loads. ForkSENSE™ uses the QUWB-GPS™ system to define zones with overhead obstacles and to keep forklifts out. This technology helps prevent accidents while also reinforcing safe operation.
